2006 WSOP
I’m already thinking about the 2006 WSOP even
though this year’s tournament just ended a few months ago. Another
nobody, Joseph Hachem, has turned into a household name and became an
instant millionaire. He will be a world champion forever and have his
picture on the WSOP winners list at Binions. Most sports finishing second
sucks...but I think I would be happy with $4.2 million and try it again
next year.
The numbers were staggering for this year’s main event (2006
WSOP). The number of entrants was 5619 players with a top prize of $7.5
million. The field was so large it took 3 days to narrow it down so
everyone still in the event was playing at the same time. The event
took over a week to crown a champion.
Here are my predications for the 2006 World Series of Poker (2006
WSOP). The field will again double because of all the online tournaments
to win a seat into the main event. I think the field will jump to 13,240
players. The 2006 WSOP winner will receive an astounding payout of $11
million dollars. The winner’s payday will be more money than most
pro athletes make in a year. I think that the 2006 WSOP champion will
once again be unknown online poker player who qualified on Poker Stars
who will became world famous. Who knows, it could be me!!
